HIGH SCHOOL NIGHTS: Fall of 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade
CBC participates in several High School Night presentations throughout the St. Louis area. These presentations are held at local schools and are attended by representatives of the various private high schools. The purpose of these events is to provide basic information about the school and allow students and parents to ask questions.

Official 8th Grade Visit
It is also suggested that students schedule a day to come on campus for their Official Visit. Contact Melissa Ryan, Admissions Assistant, by email at [email protected] or call (314) 985-6095 to schedule your visit. To learn more, click HERE.

September-December of 8th Grade
Throughout the Fall of 8th Grade, we will invite prospective students to be our guests at various CBC events. The events include Sporting Events, Theater Performances, Band Concerts, and our acclaimed Honors Program Speaker Series. You can receive information and invitations for these events by completing our Potential Cadet Information Request. This is a great way for students to come experience life at CBC for themselves, while meeting current students, performers, players, coaches, and faculty.

CBC OPEN HOUSE: Sunday, November 3
CBC will host our annual Open House on Sunday, November 3. The event runs from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and is open to the public. Students from 6th, 7th, and 8th Grades generally attend, but the event is open to anyone. The Open House offers guided tours, classroom demonstrations, and student activities throughout the afternoon. Ross Hall is the center of the activity, where you can:
  • View courses and meet with representatives from each academic department
  • Receive information about our various sports teams and talk to current players
  • Meet with our financial aid representative
  • Learn about CBC’s great student activities, the intramural program, and special interest clubs

Applications are Due: Late November
For parochial school students, Archdiocesan application forms are distributed through Catholic elementary schools and to PSR directors for all 8th grade boys. Students attending public schools or other private schools may obtain an application directly from CBC by contacting Jim Brockman at (314) 985-6067, [email protected] or by clicking HERE.

Parochial school students should return a completed application form to the student’s elementary school by the date indicated on the form. The Catholic elementary school will send the application form and a copy of the student’s grades and standardized test scores to CBC, provided that CBC is listed as the student’s first choice school. Public school students should return the application form to CBC and request that records be sent from their son’s school to CBC.

November-December of 8th Grade
Applications and related information of Prospective Students are reviewed by the CBC Administrative Team. During this time, a representative of the Admission Office will contact you to schedule a time for an interview.

Interviews: January of 8th Grade
CBC conducts interviews of all prospective students and parents. The interview process provides an opportunity to discuss his goals and aspirations. The interviews are conducted by a member of the faculty, staff, or administration and usually last no more than 15 minutes. These interviews take place at CBC. Below are the general criteria for acceptance to CBC:

1.) Grades and Standardized Test Scores
2.) Personal Interview
3.) Whole Person Assessment (discipline, attendance record, etc.)

February of 8th Grade
Letters of acceptance or non-acceptance are mailed to students in early February.

CBC encourages all interested students to apply. By listing CBC as your first choice, your application is given priority consideration. We will consider late applications if space is available.

Spring of 8th Grade
Begin looking for information from CBC about academic enrichment programs, sports camps, and fall sports tryout information. This is a good time to schedule an appointment over the summer for a physical, which is required for all freshmen.

Enrollment and Financial Aid forms are due.
