Gaylerd joined CBC's Mathematics department in 1984. He teaches Algebra 1, Honors Algebra 2/Trig, Algebra 2, and Advanced Topics in Math. Prior to CBC, he taught 2 years at Helias in Jefferson City.
Gaylerd graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Louis University earning a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics in 1982. Later, he earned a Master of Arts in Religious Education from Seattle University. He holds a Missouri State Teaching Certification in Secondary Mathematics Education.
Gaylerd has lived in St. Louis since 1984. He and his wife Ann have 3 children who make them very proud. Gaylerd has run 15 marathons and currently enjoys biking, hiking, golfing and working out at the gym. He also has coached distance runners since the beginning of his career in 1982.
