CAREER:
Amy joined CBC's Mathematics department in 2014. She teaches Geometry, Advanced Placement Statistics, Advanced Placement Calculus AB, and Advanced Placement Calculus BC. Prior to CBC, she taught nine years at Incarnate Word Academy. She serves as the moderator for CBC's chapter of Mu Alpha Theta. She was named the Distinguished Lasallian Educator of the Year during the 2016-2017 academic year.
EDUCATION:
Amy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southeast Missouri State University earning a Bachelor of Science in Education – Secondary Mathematics degree. Later, she graduated from Webster University with a Master of Arts – Mathematics for Educators degree. She holds a Missouri State Teaching Certification in Secondary Mathematics Education.
BACKGROUND:
Amy has lived in St. Louis her entire life. While attending Southeast Missouri State, she was a member of the Division I Women’s Softball team. She and her husband, Adam, have one son, Ryan (8 years old), and a daughter, Vera (6 years old). Plus, they have a pug. They enjoy being members of Incarnate Word Parish in Chesterfield, MO.
