Description
Christian Brothers College High School, an all-boys Catholic school, is accepting applications for an English/Language Arts teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. CBC High School is committed to providing a college-preparatory education to students from all backgrounds. QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelor’s degree in English/Language Arts or a related field. Master's degree in English preferred but not required.
-Valid Missouri teaching certification (Grades 9-12)
-Three or more successful years of teaching experience preferred, but NOT required
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
-Student-centered philosophy of education -Commitment to the school, its Lasallian mission, and to private, Catholic education
-Knowledge of current educational theory and best practices
-Demonstrated commitment to supporting student growth in and out of the classroom
-Adaptable to organizational change and changes in the field of education
-Familiarity with aspects of a digital learning environment
-Effective oral and written communication skills
-Ability to build trusting relationships with all community stakeholders
JOB SUMMARY: The successful candidate will be able to:
-Work collaboratively as part of a team in a Professional Learning Community.
-Effectively manage the classroom environment.
-Differentiate instruction to challenge and meet the needs of all students.
