Full-Time Technical Theater Teacher / Theater Manager

Summary
The successful candidate will be able to: Work collaboratively as part of a team in a Professional Learning Community. Effectively manage the classroom environment. Teach Stagecraft and Design courses and other Theater offerings, as needed. As Technical Director of an award-winning Theatre Program, supervises all design and technical support for 2-4 productions per year, and supports makerspace classes in the area of woodworking. As Theater Manager, assist and support all events in the Theater during the school year. Requirements Student-centered philosophy of education. Commitment to the school, its Lasallian mission, and to private, Catholic education. Demonstrated commitment to supporting student growth in and out of the classroom. Adaptable to organizational change and changes in the field of education. Familiarity with aspects of a digital learning environment. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to build trusting relationships with all community stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree Master’s degree preferred but NOT required. Valid Missouri teaching certification (Grades 9-12) preferred but NOT required. Three or more successful years of teaching experience preferred, but NOT required. Experience with lighting and sound technology would be a definite plus.
