Love collects Player of the Year honors

Caleb Love's senior basketball season will go down as one of the most memorable in CBC High School history.
 
The University of North Carolina-bound standout guard capped off one of the most productive careers in CBC history by leading the top-ranked Cadets to their second consecutive berth in the Missouri Class 5 semifinals. In the quarterfinal victory against Francis Howell, Love became the second player in school history to surpass 2,000 career points.
 
Love, who averaged 27 points per game, collected several area, state and national accolades during and after his senior campaign.
 
He was named the Metro Catholic Conference Player of the Year, the Missouri Class 5 Player of the Year (by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association), Mr. Show Me Basketball, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch All-Metro Player of the Year, the Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year, a McDonald's All-American and a Jordan Brand All-American.
