Congratulations to senior Justin Turner, who has been named CBC’s honoree for the prestigious Martin Luther King Jr. Model of Justice Award.
Turner was honored at a ceremony at the Cathedral Basilica on Sunday afternoon, along with the other recipients from area high schools. He will also be recognized during CBC's virtual prayer service on Tuesday morning.
Turner's worthiness for the award can clearly be seen in his own words:
“When I see [people being treated differently] all I want to do is help and over the course of my life I have found a burning passion for justice. ... It pains me to see justice not being served and for people to not have the rights they deserve. ... I want to live and fight to make sure we live in a world where everyone has equal rights, and they can count on justice being served.”
