CBC promotes pair of graduates to key leadership roles

Christian Brothers College High School President Michael Jordan, AFSC, and Principal Tim Seymour have announced that Jim Brockman ’99 and Vic Northern ’86 have been promoted to key leadership positions at the school. Both roles align with CBC’s ongoing strategic plan, Vision 175, and will prepare the school for continued growth and success long into the future.

Jim Brockman ’99 – Vice President

Now in his 19th year of service at the school, Brockman has been named CBC’s Vice President. He will continue to lead the school’s admissions and enrollment efforts while also expanding into the areas of school advancement and fundraising.

“For years, Jim has delivered strong enrollment numbers in an incredibly challenging St. Louis private high school market,” said CBC President Michael Jordan. “More important than that, his understanding of our mission and his passion for CBC have been a gift to our students and families. I am excited to work together in the area of advancement as we prepare our school for the future.”

“I am humbled to have this opportunity to expand my role in service to CBC and our Lasallian mission,” Brockman said. “CBC has meant so much to me and my entire family. I look forward to working with Michael and learning from him as we prepare to serve future generations of Cadets.”

Vic Northern ’86 – Director of Diversity

A 1986 CBC graduate, Northern has been a member of the school community since the late 1970’s when his brother first became a student. He has been a member of CBC’s football coaching staff for nearly 20 years and joined the faculty full-time in the fall of 2020. As Director of Diversity, he will expand his leadership of the diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts aligned with CBC’s Lasallian mission of welcoming, inspiring, and serving students from all backgrounds.

“Vic’s ability to connect with and make an impact on our students is powerful,” said CBC Principal Tim Seymour. “He is a leader who all our students learn from, and he will continue to develop programs and opportunities that welcome and educate students and families from all backgrounds.”

“At CBC, our diversity is our greatest strength,” Northern said. “Our school is a family, and I am working to make sure that every student, parent, and guardian on campus can experience the same sense of family that I feel when I am at CBC.”
