Jeremiyah Love '23, a junior running back at Notre Dame, was announced as one of four finalists for the 91st annual Heisman Trophy on Monday.
Love ranks fourth nationally in rushing yards (1,372), fifth in yards per game (114.33) and is third with 18 rushing touchdowns. Love, who added 27 receptions for 280 yards and three scores, is also fourth nationally in all-purpose yards (1,652) and second nationally with 21 touchdowns.
The standout running back joins Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza, Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin, and Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia as the finalists for the 91st annual Heisman Memorial Trophy.
The 2025 Heisman Trophy winner will be announced during the Heisman Trophy ceremony that will air Saturday, Dec. 13, at 6 PM CT on ABC.
Love is also a finalist for the Walter Camp Player of the Year, the Maxwell Award, and the Doak Walker Award, which is presented to the nation's top running back.
As a sophomore a year ago, in 2024, Love led the Fighting Irish with 1,125 rushing yards and 19 total touchdowns (17 rushing and two receiving).
Love led CBC to back-to-back state championships as a junior and senior and was selected as the Missouri Gatorade Player of the Year and the MaxPreps Missouri High School Football Player of the Year for the 2022 season. He also won the Missouri Class 5 100-meter dash championship as a sophomore in 2021.
