CBC has been named an ITEEA STEM School of Excellence for the fourth consecutive year. For the 2025-26 school year, there were only two high schools in Missouri to earn this recognition.
The school will receive its banner at ITEEA's 88th Annual Convention in March.
This special designation was created to celebrate those schools whose teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders are providing a meaningful STEM education experience for students and to inspire others to learn effective best practices and instructional strategies to enhance their own programs.
To apply, schools must complete a rigorous application with detailed documentation to demonstrate a strong Integrative STEM program, which is then reviewed by a panel of peers.
"Thanks to all who have worked to break down disciplinary silos and found ways to bring integrated learning to our students," teacher Joe Henken said. "The award is based on a rigorous application process highlighting the work done by our community of teachers, administrators, and stakeholders to provide meaningful and transformational work for our students."
"Special thanks to Randy Gardner and Craig Nicoletti for helping with the video submission!"
