Congratulations to Nick Saracino '10, who was named to Italy's men's hockey roster for the upcoming 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Games in February.
Saracino, who played hockey and lacrosse at CBC, was a part of the Cadets' back-to-back Mid States Club Hockey Association Challenge Cup championships in 2008 and 2009 and a captain on the runner-up squad in 2010. Those teams went 100-10-4 over Saracino's final three seasons of high school hockey.
He played two years in the USHL before moving on to Providence College, where he scored 116 points (46 goals, 70 assists) in his four seasons, including helping the Friars win the 2015 national championship as a junior.
He has spent the past five seasons overseas, including four in the ICEHL. He currently plays for HC Pustertal and has 21 points in 30 games this season.
Team Italy will have Group B preliminary round games against Sweden (Feb. 11), Slovakia (Feb. 13) and Finland (Feb. 14).
