Theater Program - Cerre Players
CBC's elite Theater Program delivers four to five productions of musicals, comedies, and dramas each school year in the state-of-the-art Gundaker Theater.
The Cerre Players, the name of the theater troupe at CBC, perform under the direction of Mr. Peter Banholzer along with technical direction by Mr. Matt Stuckel. Past shows include A Soldier's Play, A Bronx Tale, Murder On The Orient Express, The Music Man, The Drowsy Chaperone, Godspell, Willy Wonka, Pippin, High School Musical, A Few Good Men, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Bye Bye Birdie, Elf The Musical, and many more including original scripts written by alumni.
CBC's shows are student-produced and performed, so there are many opportunities to participate on stage and behind the scenes. Our students have an active role in building all of the scenery for the shows, designing and executing lights and sound, and serving in leadership roles as stage managers and assistant directors. CBC welcomes female performers from private, public, and home schools.
Thanks to talented students, unparalleled leadership, and premier facilities, CBC continues to be credited as one of the top drama and performance programs in the state of Missouri!
